Why did I create this website?
I created this site after realising that many engineers who aspire to migrate to Australia end up facing the same problems that I faced at the beginning of my journey in 2005. I know several engineers who became my friends here in Australia and ended up giving up their dreams for not being able to recognize their qualifications here. After taking part in several professional interviews, evaluating whether engineers could become Chartered Professional Engineers, I noticed that there is a lack of professional support for those who want to pursue their dreams. In this case, they were experienced professionals, who had great difficulty in addressing the evidence and skills. Let alone those professionals who do not often have the experience in Australia. It is your dream and your family to come and live in Australia that is further away, often becomes impossible. I decided then to create this site to guide overseas qualified engineers and offer valuable content so that the professional journey to Australia is more peaceful than mine.

Who is Gerson Ida?
Founder of Engineers In Australia
I am a Civil Engineer, graduated in Brazil from the Federal University of Paraná in 1994, with an MBA in Logistics from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation and postgraduate courses in France and Japan.
Here in Australia I have completed a Diploma in Business, Advanced Diploma in Project Management and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, in addition to many other short courses.
I migrated to Australia in 2005 and I validated my qualification as a Civil Engineer in 2006, which opened the door for us to obtain our permanent residency in 2008 and our Australian citizenship in 2009 and today I have a beautiful family and we do not regret the challenges we encountered.
Since 2008 I work for the Department of Transport and Main Roads of the State of Queensland.
I am also a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPENg) and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and also participated in professional interviews at Engineers Australia when applicants apply to become CPEng & RPEQ.
